The Wellness Center of Mount St. Joseph University espouses a holistic approach to the ongoing process of human development. The Center is committed to providing a safe environment that advocates, educates, and encourages the physical, spiritual, and psychological well-being of the Mount students. We are a Safe Zone for all students.

Health & Counseling Services


The Wellness Center staff is following the directives of our administration to comply with all safety measures to minimize the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Please note resources specific to responding to COVID-19 are posted on this page, the Health Services page, and on the Counseling Services page as well. Our goal is to help you, our students, with as much care as we can during this unprecedented time.

Counseling Services are open for tele-counseling and in-person visits by appointment only.  Current options for free counseling for MSJ students can be found here. You can also call 513-244-4949 or email Peggy.Welge@msj.edu to for more information.

Nurse Hours (Fall & Spring Semester): Monday - Friday, 9:00 am  - 5:00 pm
Nurse Hours (Summer Semester): Monday and Wednesdays only, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
There is no charge to visit the nurse. 

Doctor Hours (Fall & Spring Semester):  
Tuesdays 12-1pm, Wednesdays 12-1pm, Fridays 12-1pm (appointments only)
Fee: $10.00 (this can be charged to your student account), and your insurance will not be billed.

Privacy Statement

Mount St. Joseph University's Wellness Center is committed to safeguarding the privacy of its students. Although the Wellness Center and its staff do not transmit any personal health information (PHI) through this website or by electronic means, it is our policy to be in compliance with the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. Copies of our "Notice of Privacy Practices" (NPP) are given to all students receiving health or counseling services. The NPP can be obtained at our reception area in the Wellness Center Office or by calling (513) 244-4408.
