Health Insurance Requirement and Online Waiver for New and Mandated Students

Welcome to the Mount! While we know you are joining our community during an unprecedented time, we want you to know that the University’s many support services are still here for you. Now more than ever, the University believes it is important that all students maintain health care coverage to help ensure academic success and personal well-being.

To assist with this goal, the University has a partnership with Campus Unity Benefits. Campus Unity Benefits offers a variety of health plans available for purchase and also verifies students’ qualified health plans**. If you will be in our Residence Hall, participating in Athletics, or will be enrolled in a clinical health sciences program* you are considered a MANDATED STUDENT* and are required to provide proof of qualified health insurance coverage to the University.


MANDATED STUDENTS who are currently uninsured or are in need a qualified health plan** may access the Campus Unity Benefits marketplace where various types of health plans are available for purchase. Students may enroll in a medical plan for the fall semester. Additionally, students can access vision, dental, pharmaceutical and supplemental insurance plans if needed. Once insurance is obtained, you must complete the online waiver.

Open enrollment in the University-sponsored health plan begins
Thursday, June 25th. To purchase a health plan or complete the verification waiver, login to MyMount and visit the Student Health Insurance page: Student Health Insurance

MANDATED STUDENTS who are currently covered under a qualified health plan** MUST complete the online health insurance waiver by Monday, August 10th.

Students who do not provide proof of health insurance to the University will not be allowed to move into the Seton Residence Hall. Additionally, students will not be allowed to participate in athletics until proof of health insurance is received.
To complete the waiver, login to MyMount and visit the Student Health Insurance page: Student Health Insurance.

If you have not yet set up your myMount account, please refer to the email that you received from the Mount’s Office of Information Services and Support (ISS). If you need assistance logging into your myMount account, please call ISS at 513-244-4357.
