Calendar: Mount Community / Mount Groups / Athletic Training / Public Page / AT Program Campus Events
The Department of Athletic Training in the Division of Health Sciences will be hosting its annual Scholarship Night on Monday, April 22, at 6:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall and the Theatre Lobby.
The event will include an invited lecture, a poster session, and awards ceremony.
This year the invited speaker is David Graston, President and founder of Carpal Tunnel, Inc. Mr. Graston will present "Sound Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization" discussing the use of therapeutic devices designed to assist with relieving pain and inflammation. Graston was the lead designer and founder of several instrumented soft tissue mobilization devices currently in use in the musculoskeletal, rehabilitation, and sports medicine community.
Following the presentation at 8:00 p.m., junior and senior level AT students will present their original research prospectus and case report posters in the College Theatre Lobby during an informal reception. Simlar to a poster session scheduled at a professional symposium, the session will allow students to showcase their creative ideas and research skills while answering questions from attendees.
The event is free and open to members of the Mount community.
