Drop In Hours - Writing Assistance and Peer Tutoring

Fall and Spring Semesters - one-on-one peer tutoring and writing assistance is available for FREE - just complete one of our forms in MyMount:

Drop in hours for the semester can be viewed by clicking here or scanning the below QR code to access Accudemia. Just stop in and work with a tutor or writing assistant available based on the schedule - no appointment needed!

 

The Peer Tutoring program enhances student success in coursework across the curriculum by providing concentrated, one-on-one assistance for students who would like to spend additional time with course material. Students chosen as Peer Tutors have demonstrated a pattern of overall success in the classroom and have recently taken, and done well, in the courses in which they tutor. In addition to helping their clients achieve greater understanding of the subject matter, they also serve as role models of motivation and success.

 

 

 

Want to Request a Peer Tutor?

Students who would like additional time working with course content may request a peer tutor by completing the Form to Request a Peer Tutor. Complete all fields on the request form and click "submit." Within a few days, the Learning Commons staff will email your peer tutor contact information. Or, use our drop-in tutoring schedule to see when to stop in the Learning Commons.

Want to Become a Peer Tutor?

Students who are committed to helping their fellow students, have good interpersonal skills, and a strong grade point average, may apply to become a peer tutor. Peer tutors help other students and benefit themselves by reinforcing their own content knowledge and earning an hourly wage. Contact the Learning Commons for more information.
