Tuition Management Systems being replaced by Nelnet in 2021

Several years ago, Nelnet acquired Tuition Management Systems (TMS). The Mount is currently in the process of switching from TMS' Student Account Center site ( to Nelnet's system. The site will remain active until late 2021 to process student billing and payments for Summer 2021 (S421) and for payments from high school dual enrolled students for Fall 2021 (S122).

What is Student Account Center?

Student Account Center (SAC) is Mount St. Joseph University's online student billing system powered by Tuition Management Systems (TMS) and has its own web site at Student Account Center (SAC) is being phased out in 2021, being replaced by Nelnet's Campus Commerce system.

While Student Account Center is being replaced by Nelnet's student billing and payment plan system, bills for the Summer 2021 (S421) semester are still being made available only withing Student Account Center and you can make payments for summer through that site as well. You will only be able to view your statements in SAC through late 2021, so download any copies of past statements that you might need for your records.

High school dual enrolled students will also be able to make payments for Fall 2021 (S122) from Scroll down the page to find the "Make a Payment" section of the page. Choose "Tuition and Fees" in the "Make a One-Time Payment" drop-down menu and select the "Make a Payment to MSJ" button. You will need to provide your name, MSJ student ID# and select Fall 2021 for the term. How do I sign-up to use Student Account Center?

New students will receive an email to their Mount email account inviting them to register for access to Student Account Center within two weeks of registering for classes.
The registration email will come from an email address and contain instructions on how to register for Student Account Center. You can see screen shots of the registration process in the SAC Registration Process PDF document.

What can I see or do in Student Account Center?

Once you have activated your account and set up your profile, Student Account Center will offer you the following features:
  • Statements – view account statement and options to pay your bill by checking account, savings account or credit card
  • Ability to Share Account Access – for additional sponsors (i.e., parents) to assist managing your account
  • Direct Access – though for authorized participants
